It is the start of a new season and the start of this blog. What I hope to do here is discuss how the current season is progressing in Idaho. I want to inform the reader of what to potentially expect from the wine in that vintage. I also plan on reviewing Idaho wines (and an occasional wine from other regions) from a vineyard point of view. So I will discuss what I like about it and why I think it tastes the way it does from a growers perspective. Lastly, I will cover some the challenges faced with growing wine grapes including weather, pests, labor, and so forth.
